I have a quick question. Does a person need the 4K Genie Mini to view Directv's 4K content, if they have a Samsung RVU capable TV and the HR54?

If you activate the RVU client in the TV (same $7/mo cost as having a C61k) you can view the 4K channels on the RVU.
It essentially works exactly like the client. Only difference is a bit less control on the settings, things like native resolution is always the default on RVU versus having setting options on the client.

I have 2016 samsung KS8000 sets and have been very pleased with the RVU performance.
I've read that 2014 or earlier have very poor RVU performance. 2015 I haven't read as much one way or the other.
