Harry Potter HD DVD might be released on August 29!

It looks like the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire HD DVD might be released as early as August 29! (Thanks to our forum member teamerickson for the tip!) This widescreen HD release will feature extras not available on standard DVD: "In-Movie Experience" - an interactive video commentary, additional content and interviews. It is also going to have Dolby TrueHD in addition to Dolby Digital-Plus 5.1 tracks.

No doubt, this will be their biggest title to date. I would expect it to blow off the shelves !

Don't hold your breath yet! There are still no confirmations for this release date.
Although this date is posted on the official web site of HD DVD Promotion Group, their list had inaccuracies in the past, so this might be a mistake.

It's ok, but it would be WAY cooler to release all the Harry Potter's as a box set.

Date may be wrong for the US, but since Blu-Ray ads are already showing Harry Potter as one of the releases, its probably coming out in BOTH formats sometime soon.
