Hi guy's,
Is it confirmed that RTPI will move to Galaxy 19?
I sent a email to RTP, but i did not get a response.
I am still receiving the signal from AMC4, but i dont know if i should move my dish to Galaxy 19.
Thank you for the feedback

It's already on Galaxy 19, so it wouldn't hurt to move the dish now, unless you need something else from AMC4/SES1.

Thank you for the reply,
But RTPI, will it stay on AMC4 also?
I'm getting very good signal on amc4.
Thanks

What i meant is RTPI staying on the new 101 sat?

probably not

The new satellite has coverage mainly in the US and most of Canada so there are parts of the old coverage area that can't get it now

G19 covers those areas

If you move the dish to 97 W you'll get a bunch of other channels, too...

most channels on 101W that catered to a large footprint (US, Canada, Caribbean, Mexico) have moved to another sat
Most moved to 97W
BVN (Dutch) has been on Satmex6 (113W) for a while now

The other stuff will probably stay there....frankly I could see broadcasters maybe using that satellite for news/sports feeds....just a thought

;)That bring me some hope that the History/Bio channels guys do the same and emigrate from SES-1 to a much stronger with a biggest footprint sat.:D
