I just subbed to the RSN so that I can watch Cardinals in the Midwest region (I am in Northern). Will I also get access to the Midwest RSN in HD? What determines that access?

I live in Iowa and sub to the multi-sports package and get Fox Midwest in HD. Wish my other two (Fox North and Comcast Chicago) were available in HD to us. FWIW ... Comcast Chicago is my RSN without the multi sports package. Biggest problem has been lack of HD for Fox Midwest.

You won't get any of the pro baseball games on the RSN unless your zipcode is in the area claimed by one of the teams playing as it's "home territory". All other pro games will be blacked out.

Check http://dish.fxep.com, enter your zipcode, and it will show what teams claim your zipcode, and what RSN carries those teams. If you can get the FSN MW game in SD, then you can get it in HD, when available.

OOOh, hooooooooooo, sad--should have checked with this forum BEFORE I ordered this, The DISH CSR did not explain these blackouts and I was all hyped to watch my Cardinals play. What's the point of having the Multi-Regional then? It seems it will black out every game except if they play the Twins (in another League), which won't happen, so I would see NO GAMES at all in the Midwest or any other region unless they are the same as what is on the Fox North, which is what I already get?

Bummer, bummer--I hope they don't charge me $5 to cancel, as it was just a few minutes ago and I see that the game with the Rockies is blacked out.

No way around this?

Thanks

Iowa must normally be in the Fox Midwest Region then? I am in the Fox North and so even if I subbed to Multi-Regional, all games blacked out, except for the Twins, which they don't play and I normally get with the North anyway.

So, no Cardinals games this summer, I guess, except on networks or ESPN.

Wow--North--no other major leage teams up here except the twins--NONE. useless.

Comcast Chicago is my RSN but if I subscribe to the multi sports pack I also then get Fox North and Fox Midwest. Great deal for 5.99 a month. All sports are NOT blacked out. Being a Twins fan it is great.

You're probably in a good spot for baseball. My guess would be the Cubs, Sox, Twins, & Brewers all claim your zipcode.
