As a Giants fan, can I start the two-peat talking? Romo will now miss the Giants game!!!

Not for anything, I was one of the few which was adamant about Cowboys being anointed Champs long before pre-season . . . you cannot be anointed champs when you cannot win home playoff games two years in a row!

BINGO!!

One minor correction: the Cowboys lost in Seattle two years ago.....not at home, but your point is well taken by this poster!

The Giants are the best team in the NFL whether the Cowboys have Romo or not!

How about not even winning a playoff game since December of 1996?
I love how everyone is willing to just hand them the trophy when Romo has choked in the last two playoff appearances, and the team itself hasn't won a playoff game in over 10 years!

The funny part is the Cowboys have had a history of QB's getting hurt and playing with backups:

1991- Troy Aikman gets hurt in an upset of then-unbeaten Washington- Steve Buerelein rallies them to five wins in a row

1993- Bernie Kosar plays relief for Aikman

1994- Rodney Peete and Jason Garrett come in to sub for a few weeks

As my co-Giants fans and I have been saying . . . thank you Brett Favre! You stole the NY Media from Eli after one of the biggest upsets in Sports History and thus, Eli is casually flying under the radar!

Thanks Bill for the correction!

Hmmm . . . in the NFC East, we will not go undefeated, but looking like one great record and home playoff advantage is plausible!

If anyone thinks that the Giants can take an unbeaten record deep into the fall and try and become last year's Patriots, ha ha.

Now that the Cowboys are in trouble, you can expect the media to treat these Giants like last year's Pats- an unbeaten team killing opponents and they will be deemed best in the league and treat every opponent like they're inferior.

I didn't say undefeated, especially in the NFC East. In fact, we have 2 against Philly and even the Steelers . . .

Your right though . . . media will step up the pressure soon . . . thank God the Romo-less Cowboys will be in New York . . . if we played them in Dallas w/out Romo, the media would be vicious!

BTW, Giants will have to beat them.

If they lost to a Romo-less Dallas team, no excuses.

Can you imagine how embarassing that would be?

At this point I'm hoping for 12-4 as a Giants record..... I think the Cowboys and Eagles will each win at least one from us, and either Pittsburgh and/or Carolina will give us fits...

With the Skins and 'Boys losing surprising games yesterday (The Rams? REALLY??!!?? The Cards... Seemingly a huge upset, but they are division leaders right now) we've now got at least a one game lead after tonight, and may have two games up if we can do to the Browns what we did to them in the 1st qtr. of that preseason game....

Romo being gone is a huge lift for us. Wow, I never thought all three of our foes in the NFC East would be stumbling....

Actually, we have a history of losing to backups..... Romo was the backup who came in to beat us when Bledsoe went down. Theismann goes down for the Skins years ago when Lawrence Taylor broke his leg, and Schroeder shreds us for the rest of the game.....

We've got this blind spot for backups, but I'm hoping this mojo we've got working now continues..... I never saw that Seahawk blowout coming, so I hope we can stay injury free and keep surprising people.

Giants fans- let me just say this: do NOT overlook Arizona, whom your Big Blue have to play in mid-November.

You're assuming Warner survives the whole season.... I think (call it a hunch) that he is the next one to go down with an injury..... He's getting up there in years, and could be the next aged slow healer to be impaired and forced out....

They are playing well now, but they have a history of late season fades... until they are eliminated and they wind up playing spoiler when the pressure is off and beating some fringe playoff team every year....

Here's what the world was like when the Cowboys last won a Playoff game:

Netscape Browser 3.1 was recently released.
"The Daily Show" with Craig Kilborn was still in its first year.
I was in my Freshman year in High School.
"ER" was the most watched television show.
Bill Clinton had just been re-elected.
The Nintendo 64 had just been released.
"Beavis and Butthead Do America" was (probably) #1 at the box office.
"The Macarena" was still on the Billboard charts and ended up being the top song of the year.
DVD Video had recently been introduced (In Japan)
The Baltimore Ravens had their first season as a Franchise

I wish I could keep going on with this but unfortunately I do have to pretend like I'm doing some work here at work. ;p

Oh please.. Arizona BARELY beat the Cowboys, and if the Cowboys had been on their A-game and not have all those mistakes, Big-D would have handily beaten them.

Everyone jumps on Arizona's d**k every year, saying, "Oh Arizona is going to be great, they have great wide receivers, this and that.. etc etc." They've NEVER done anything significant in the playoffs, the ownership is a Confederacy of Dunces, and no one there even cares about the team.

I'm so glad that Lienart is playing so horribly and is benched. I still say he only played in college that extra year because he didn't want to get drafted by the 49ers. Maybe if he cut down on the beer pong and Madden and actually did some real practicing he could maybe achieve the same sort of greatness that players like Steve DeBerg, Brad Johnson, and Brian Gresie obtained.

Bitter because your Niners couldn't stop them in Week 1?:D

What have the Giants done that would make you assume that could happen?

It's not like the Giants have been one and done in the playoffs like some teams I know!
