Returning remotes

I am having 2 new remotes sent to me under the dhpp as remote 2 was burning through batterys every 2 weeks and remote 1 was just wore out due to use. The csr said the new remotes will come with return labels but not to return the old remotes. My question is are old remotes usually returned? Even though the csr said not to return the old remotes I thought Iwould ask satellite guys forums. Thanks for any info

Nope toss the old remotes. They don't want them back
