Retrofit 1 meter Motorola Dish to Dish Network

I am helping a friend who purchased a house in Baja, 119 degree sat location

Whats to reuse the 1 meter dish and convert it to Dish Network since it appears to be the only service provider for 119 sat. So called local dealer in Baja is 1 hour away and wants $4000 for (6) model 311 receiver,LNB and multiswitch. The basic receiver cost is $398 while only $85 in the USA. This is very unreasonable so we want to purchase equipment in USA and use pay per use Dish Network service. It is my understanding only Dish Network LNB and receivers can be used since it is a properitary system.

Can someone recommend the correct equipment?

I was thinking of a Dish Pro Plus LNB with a DP 34 switch and DP splitters using (6) to (7) model 311 receivers or will the model 322 receiver work with the considering the concrete walls and second story floor.

Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

(6) 311's, (2) DP34, (1) DP Dual LNBF

DP34 will handle up to 8 recievers.

I would think a Dish 500 (20" dish) would work fine in Baja, in that case add 1 more DP Dual so you can have 110/119

One (1) DP34 have 4 output for four(4) receivers with one sat-tuner, like 311;
If you need more - add another DP34, or third (max) - up to 12 receivers.

Baja is a very long piece of land. Down near La Paz you need at least a 1.2 meter dish. North of Loreto you can get by with a one meter. This is fact and not a guess. Most down here use a standard LNBF. The pay as you go sets are sold at Radio Shack and there are online Websites that allow you to recharge the time. Best to just use a simple 311 set as this avoids multiple inputs for the DVR's. Hope this helps....

You need two DP34's. You can't use a DPP separator with DP and you can't run two single tuners off a DPP separator.
