Retrieving information u erased in the memory thing

What is is this last week with all the kids trying to get their receivers reset, or in this case, actually manage to reset the receiver? There's been several here, over at that other place, and over at DSLReports in the sat/catv forum.

Well, at least 2 of them are actually the same punk.

A switch test will usually get everything back, but you might have to set up favorites lists again. There is also a menu option to reset back to factory configuration (not at home to look where it is at).
