"Report" topics in the wrong thread

What's the desired method for reporting a thread that's in the wrong place ?? If you click the "Bad post" link, it tells you

This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts.

I get PM's from members asking if threads could be moved and have recieved "report posts" from members

But I'd like to see Scott's take on this.

I don't keep track of who has the permissions to move, delete, etc, nor do I plan to. I've used this "bad post" method in the past here and at other vBulletin sites and no one's ever said I shouldn't use that method (based on the wording it gives).

The wording is wrong.

Using it for that is fine.

I dont see why you couldn't use the report bad post option

Did you read my first post ?? I copy and pasted the wording from this site that's included on the page you get when clicking the "bad post" link. A post that's simply in the wrong forum doesn't meet any of the reasons listed. Maybe it's the default vBulletin wording (I believe it is since I see the same thing at other sites) ?? Maybe it can't be changed ??

yes I did. My post came after Scott's did and I didn't see his. He mentioned the wording is wrong.
