replace 211z with a Wally questions

Hello. We have a 211z on our account setup as a tailgater receiver. We do not use it much but it gets the job done when we need it. We are considering replacing it with a Wally. I have two questions:

1) We paid the $40 one time charge to allow us to connect an external hard drive to the 211z. Will we have to pay this again to use the EHD with a Wally or will Dish transfer this to the Wally? The 211z will not be used (it will get deactivated when the Wally is activated)
2) Is this even possible? I asked a rep in a Dish chat session and he said we could not mix a Wally with a Hopper/Joey.... I don't think he read/understood the question We have a Hopper and a Joey at home and use the 211z when we are tailgating/traveling. The Wally would simply take the place of the 211z.

1) You should be able to keep HDD recording feature for no additional charges
2) Which Hopper do you have, 1, 2 or 3? Wally should work with your hopper system if they let you have it, but some people have been reported problems with Wally and tailgater dish.
