And AFAIK if you have a Hopper, you won't be able to view anything you recorded after the preview unless you subscribe to HBO.
hard to say. Zach made it sound like it varies by channel on the rights they allow.

I am able to watch everything I recorded on the last free previews on my hopper still. I believe the problem came from people that recorded on a 722 or other older receiver and then put them on an EHD. When trying to watch those transferred movies from the EHD on the hopper some but not all of them would no longer play. I think as long as it was originally recorded on the hopper it seems to work. Some stuff recorded on older DVRs works and some doesn't.

The only issue is a bug related to old recordings on a external drive being unviewable without a subscription. I didn't experience this bug either, so it is very hit or miss.
We only found a couple of things worth recording during this free preview. Just reinforces that HBO is not for us.

I only found a couple of movies to record this time myself. Now we do pay for and enjoy the BB@Home package. But otherwise, the premium movie channels don't have enough things that interest my wife and I to warrant the monthly price.

Wait, did I say cheaper? I meant cost/benefit aware. Heh, my mom subscribes to HBO and Showtime with her cable package. Since she doesn't have internet, my brother and I use her HBOGO account.
I'm hoping that her cabelco will get Showtime Anytime.
