Has anyone had anything like this happen? I was going out tonight, so I set my 622 to record the Olympics from my local NBC station. The event was listed in the guide for 7:30 to 12:00. When I came home shortly after 12, I saw that the recording was still running even though my local news was on. The news was listed in the guide for this time both when I set the timer and currently. So I thought maybe the Olympic coverage ran a few minutes past 12 (even though it's taped) and the recording would stop at 12:30 when Jay Leno was scheduled. It didn't, so I stopped it manually. I've had recordings that I've had to stop manually a few times before, but as far as I can recall they were all instances in which the guide information changed while the recording was in progress. This doesn't appear to be the case this time.

Yeah if you had left it alone it should have stopped at 1am.

I had a similiar issue with my 722 on saturday night. I set it to record a football game off the program guide. It not only recorded the game, but the post game show and the local news. A good half hour to 45 minutes over.

Something switched in my 722 that caused all recordings to start 60 minutes early and stop 90 minutes late. I had to go back in and modify everything and then reset 0 and 0 as the defaults. Might be some kind of bug because it did it again about 3 days later.

Hide VIP622 but still use remote?
