Recordings from channels you no longer subscribe to

Hi all,

I just got the Genie with 3 months premium channels free. The question I have is that I am recording some movies for my kids to watch, so when 3 months free are up and I am back to entertainment package only, will I still be able to watch the recording movies I recorded off premium channels? As far as I know, as long as the recordings are still on disk, I should be able to play back those recordings even if I don't have those channels anymore.

you will see an expiration date next to the movie when it is recorded, at least i do on mine. you will have until that date to watch the movie. then i guess it is removed by D*

That only applies to On Demand movies as far as I know.

Thats how I understand it as well.

Correct, if you recorded it, and subscribed to the channel (or free preview) at the time of the recording, you can keep it as long as you want and watch it whenever.

yup. Have a few movies from free previews that we had and they still work fine
