I recently bought a FTA satellite, all I'm getting is Chinese and/or Japanese shows mostly news and documentaries. How do I get American shows and sports stations ?

If you are receiving the programs from a satellite, and the programming is Chinese, likely aimed at 95w on KU band. What are some names of the channels? What size of dish are you using?
97w has more international programming then once you get the hang of moving the dish and scanning, try other satellites, like 103w or 125w. Not many sport channels showing US programming, but there are a variety of channels showing programming in English.
