Receiver won't download latest software

Hey guys,

forgive me. I know this is a dish site but I need your help.

Is there a way to force a dowload. I have a 3100 expressvu rcr that won't download latest software but I have the old card.

What can I do?

This receiver has been out of the stream for approx 2-3years and contained the old card(and old software ver).. My sister was using it in another province until she moved back home and gave the receiver to me.

Bell sent me a new card and told me; the new card wouldn't wrk without the new software version. They told me how to download latest software but my rcr just WON'T upgrade,its been 2 months....................................

well to get the newest download try this

run a check switch
when it shows the info power the receiver off. Dont hold the button, just press it like you're turning the receiver off

wait 15 minutes and it should have the newest software...green light will come on with tghe "dont touch your receiver blah blah blah"...then its downloading

Thats what I had to do when we got our Dish cards and one receiver was on a previous software

I tried this 3 times in the last 20 hrs still no go.....

I should add that the green light did not come with tghe "dont touch your receiver blah blah blah"...

Post your IRD System info screen, we will check stream filters if they applicable to your device. For R00 and S00 values you could mask last 3 or 4 digits for privacy protection.
