receiver setup question?

I am about to incorparate a motor into my fta system, and I had a few questions. I would like to have both a fixed dish for AMC4 and a motorized dish running into my receiver. If i set my antenna settings for both fixed and Diseqc 1.2, will the receiver recognize both at the same time. I would like to be able to switch between my fixed and motorized dishes. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Will work with a 2 way DiSEqC switch, depending on the receiver. Would work on my Fortec star but would not work on a Satwork 3618/88 for example.

I would get two DiSEqC switch and keep one as a spare. And of course never connect or disconnect a DiSEqC switch unless the receiver has been powered down.

yes it can be done. I did that for a while
motorized setup and a fixed at G10

-receiver----motor-----switch---dishes

As PSB noted, some receivers won't do both

That is how mine is currently...

I have two fixed dishes and one on a motor. The switch, like Icerberg said, is in between motor and dishes.

I haven't had any problems using 2500A.
