I'm considering buying a new receiver. I want to stay away from the cheap stuff that encourages TOS, etc...

I have narrowed my choices down to 2 receivers: Linkbox 9000i (Local or not), and Manhattan RC-1878.

Does anyone on the forum have experience with both and would be able to comment on the pros and cons of each?

In particular I'm wondering about tuner sensitivity... which one would be better at locking weaker signals. Also, how they cope with slight interference from adjacent satellites.

Of course if you have better suggestions than those 2 models, i'm interested in that too.

Thanks in advance

i have had the linkbox 9000 for a year now....very happy with it
Thanks Mikey. Does the Linkbox still have that overly optimistic signal quality reading? I read somewhere that it had a tendency to give readings above 80 or 90 even on mediocre signals. Are you seeing that too?

Thanks
