I've been using the Dish 6000 since it first came out. For the most part, it has been reliable, excepting the occasional reboot needed when OTA HD favorites change their PSP information.
I'm upgrading my projector to the Sony Qualia 004, and decided I needed to upgrade the 6000 to be able to run DVI into the Sony for the best possible picture. Just for the heck of it, I scanned through eBay and found a refurbished 811 still sealed in the box. I was able to get it for $150, and hooked it up yesterday. It spooled v287 and booted up fine. I added my HD OTA, and it's working perfectly. BTW, the OTA HD tuner is far more sensitive and stable than the module for the 6000.
I'm happy!
