I tried native for a while, but didn't like the longer pauses and flicker I
get when changing channels. I guess it takes my TV a second or two to get
in sync with the box whenever the resolution changes. This is over DVI ->
HDMI -- I did not try in over component.

Anyone else have this problem?

/Sean

FOX sports native format is 720P. So if you want to see it the way they intended it to be seen I’d set the output to 720P. The generally accepted opinion is that 720P is superior for actions orientated programming.

its 1080i or 720p
you know most of the new sets will have native 1080p
but will they make dvds that will play 1080p or will
the industry which is limited to 720p will road block
the better standards as it will make home sources
better than over the air?

[VOOM] Re: 1081 or 720p

Hi Jeffrey, I believe the new DVD hi-rez standards will allow 1080p.
You might want to check out one of the DVD forums as I'm sure this is
a hot topic at this point in time.

Still enjoying HDTV under cloudy but clearing Seattle skies, Gill

My TV only receives 1080i. Any idea what kind of PQ I can expect using
cable?
