Gang TV Initiated Rainbow's First Global Expansion Move into Asia and USD20 Million High Definition TV Co-Production Collaboration
Media channel veteran Gregory Ang has successfully enticed HD TV content giant, Rainbow Media LLC (Rainbow) into Asia. Rainbow has appointed Gang TV's Gregory Ang as consultant to assist Rainbow to develop, launch, market and manage its channel operations in the Asia Pacific.
"Asia's HD landscape is set to change with Rainbow's entry. An exciting plethora of HD content ranging from sports, health and lifestyle to fashion and the world around us is now within the potential reach of Asian viewers." said Gregory Ang, Managing Director, Gang TV. Ang met Greg Moyer, Co-General Manager, VOOM HD Networks in 2004 year in Cannes and their informal discussions sparked off VOOM's interest in exploring the Asian market. After several meetings, Rainbow unveiled its international expansion plans in September this year.
