radioshack is advertising free next day installation for hd(-local hd included )in the boston papers.what are the chances a 622 would be available for that deal?

Well if they are planning on activating the Hd reciever for any HD content, it better be a 211/411 or 622.
There are going to be a lot fewer Radio Shack stores to buy DISH systems from. Radio Shack announced today that they are closing between 400 and 700 stores.

Don't know about up there, but down here in Texas they are clueless at Radio Shack. I went to my local RS a couple of weeks ago since they installed my original 311s and Dish 500 satifactorily. I told them I wanted the upgrade being offered and explained what the Dish it up program was all about. They had received absolutely no information. They were clueless as to exactly what a 211 was much less the 622. These are good guys, so they called there Dish rep to get the facts. They got back in touch with me with the news that they could only sell me the 211, sell me the D1000 and charge me for the install because I didn't qualify for the upgrade. Dish tells me that I do qualify for the $98 upgrade to the 211. I really wanted to go with the local guys, but I'm not dishing out nearly $500 to upgrade to HD.
