We still have one fatback TV connected to an R22 receiver. I'd like to use it in my camper with a King Flex antenna with one coax, if I don't care about using the DVR will this idea work? My understanding is I need 2 lines for the DVR to function and I'm not that concerned about using the DVR.
Thanks in advance for any advice

Go through sat setup and specify single tuner. Also make sure you set the dish type to 18in round.

Not true at all, it'll function same as 2 tuners, but (obviously) you'll only have 1 tuner to either use to record or watch live TV; you CAN still record 1 channel & simultaneously watch a pre-recorded show. ;)

Correct, seeing a pre rec I red show doesn't use a tuner.

The problem may be the recvr getting thru set up when it looks for the second tuner and hangs, like mentioned if he can get into disable the 2nd tuner (if the recvr doesn't make it thru set up), he can get by that.
