It will upscale it but it won't be Hi Def. Be forewarned that the quality you get will be with how well your upscaler can process it and your source material. Don't expect the NPS channels to shine because they won't. In fact they will look worse since your magnifying the garbage from there bitstarved digital compression. Does NPS care? NO.

Like crap, never hook the 4d to the hdd 200 for the sd, use the s-video from the 4d direct to your tv.

No one ever said getting quality would be cheap. The best thing to do is get a good HDTV with a good scaler in it and feed it S video like I'm doing. If it converts to the native resolution well (aka 1080p on my Sharp AQUOS) your good to go.
