It's NFL season again, so once again I'm trusting youse guys for a little advice. I think, after three years on Dish's flex pay (the pay as you go/prepay system), I'm ready to go DirecTV for my NFL fix.

I have one TV. I want HD and a DVR. I want Sunday Ticket and the minimum package to get that for free. That's it.

Question: Can I add the referral bonus on top of the AAA deal? If so, I think Iceberg has a bonus coming for putting up with my dumb questions for years.
Question: How much trouble will it be to try and get the installer to use the same coax my Dish dish is using now, without losing my Dish signal? Can they diplex them?

Here's what I believe the cost is based on needing CHOICE throughout:

CHOICE $64.99/mo.;

+65/month * 24 months = 1560

In certain markets, a $3/mo. Regional Sports fee will be assessed with CHOICE
Package or above and MAS ULTRA Package or above.

Only areas like NYC and LA that have multiple regional sports networks, so that doesn't apply to me.

Prices include the following instant bill credits for 12 months:
$35 for CHOICE Package

-35/month * 12 months = -420

$10 CREDIT OFFER: To receive the $10 bill credit for 24 months on your Advanced
Receiver fee (required for Genie HD DVR or HD DVR lease), customer must, at
point of sale: provide a valid email address and activate and maintain the
ENTERTAINMENT or ÓPTIMO MÁS Package or above, Auto Bill Pay and Paperless Billing.
[above offsets one of...]
Advanced Receiver-DVR fee ($10/mo.) required for DVR lease.
Advanced Receiver-HD fee ($10/mo.) required for HD Receiver lease.

(+10+10-10) * 24 = 240

Advanced Receiver fee ($25/mo.) required for Genie HD DVR, HD DVR and TiVo HD DVR from
DIRECTV lease.
TiVo service fee ($5/mo.) required for TiVo HD DVR from DIRECTV
lease.

Not getting Genie or TiVo, so no charges there.

Total:

1380 for 24 months.
$57.5/month

AAA Deal:

1380 - 200 for AAA = 1180
$49.17/month

If I can add the referral bonus, I think I'm down to $1080 for two years, or $45/month. Not bad. Sound right?

Just in case you're curious, I'm comparing this to what I'm currently paying Dish:

3 months Dish America for NBA (2) and NFL preseason (1): 40 * 3 = 120
4 months 120+ with Sports Pack (Red Zone) for NFL regular season: (60+11) * 4 = 284
5 months Welcome Pack: 20 * 5 = 100

$504/year * 2 years = $1008

about $42/month

I was initially cutting Dish off on the off season, but then the NBA and good signal convinced me to keep something active all year. So now I'm in 2-year contract territory.

Thanks.

I pay that much for 12 months.

You cannot have both the D* and DISH signal on the same coax at the same time.
If you drop DISH, they would be able to use the coax for D* in most cases.
