Hello all! I want to start by saying I am a long time reader, seldem poster, but here I go!
I also want to say thank you for all the great information on this site and Scott for your coverage of CES and all the wonderful news of HD!
Ok my questions are regarding the 622 Dual tuner DVR and my current setup.
1) I currently have an 811 output to my HDTV and a 510 (non-nbr piece of ... ) which is output to 3 tvs (including my pip on my HDTV). Would this 622 dual tuner (I've never used any dual tuner) be able to do everthing I am currently doing now by itself? So basically I am asking if I can get rid of both the 811 and the 510 and replace it with just the 622 and keep the same setup.
2) If this is possible, would that allow me to reduce my bill by $5.00 as long as I keep the 622 hooked up to a phone line? Since right now I have two receivers, so I am obviously paying $5.00 extra each month for the second receiver.
3) Does this 622 have NBR on it? Since I've been wanting it on my 510 for how long now? I am asking because I haven't read anything about it or maybe I just missed it on here.
4) I realize that the 622 outputs HD to TV1 and SD to TV2 (I am correct right?) My question on this is...Are you able to still watch the HD channels on the TV2 side? Or are they not even avail? Or are they avail and just not output in HD?
5) Also, are all recordings on the DVR 622 viewable on both TV1 and TV2? Including HD recordings?
6) As for the upgrade, I can trade in the 811 for the 622 at $299 correct? And if I deactivate the 510 will I be able to keep it? And then will I still be able to view recordings on it while it is not activated?
7) I currently have a superdish (110/119/121) and a 61.5 dish with a DPP44. I won't be needing the Dish 1000 then right?
Again I asked a lot of questions here and for that I am sorry, but I have never owned a dual tuner before and am not familar with them. I also have only been a Dish customer for a little over a year.
I think that is all my questions for now. I appreciate all responses and look forward to them.
Thank you very much! :up
