Recently my HD quality for the ESPN has been very poor, It used to look so much clearer, what can I do to get this fixed, I know it is still MPEG2 but its still HD so it should look much better than this

As long as it isn't obviously breaking up, there's nothing you can do outside of letting DIRECTV know that their customers aren't stupid and that they value program quality.

ESPN & ESPN 2 are still MPEG2.

They haven't changed since the new satellite launched last year - it is significantly WORSE quality than the new HD channels.

Unless they simulcast it in MPEG4, we are probally at least 18 months from seeing MPEG2 HD shut off and switched.

Sucks, but that is D*s position.
