I have not had the oppertunity to install a 1000 yet but I do have a question about the DPP44 switch. Does the power inserter have to be installed on every reciever?

Also do you install this thing at the recievers where the cables connect to the back of the recivers like the 105 adapter would?

Sorry about my ignorance but like I said above i have not installed one yet. (we still trying to get rid of SD's first.

No the power inserter does not get installed at every receiver, it gets installed on port #1 of the DPP44 at the receiver side.

Correct, you will no longer need the adaptors.

The one receiver connected to port one will use the power inserter, and is a straight swap for the DP adaptor you will be removing.

One thing to keep in mind with the DPP44 Switch. If you plan on using diplexers, do NOT wire them between the power inserter and the switch. It's a good way to burn them out and create a troublecall.

True, but they do make high-current-passing diplexers for that situation. :)
