I own a Samsung SIR-TS360 HD receiver and a 42" Panasonic plasma tv. I'm using a DVI connection and so far everything seems fine with the Samsung except it doesn't allow me to control the format of the picture on via my plasma tv (i.e. normal, full, zoom, panorama). The Panasonic plasma does an excellent job of the "just" view (their version of the the "panorama" view) while I think the Samsung stretches the left and right sides way too much when in it's "panaroma" view. I would rather use the tv's format functions rather than the Samsung's format functions but it seems to force the tv into "full" format, forcing you to adjust the format via the Samsung only.
Does anyone know if I would have the same problem with the Hughes HTLHD unit?
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
