Question About New Direct Tv Install

I have two questions regarding my new direct tv install. First is can I set up my receiver to my network after the installer is finished or does that have to be done while the installer is here? The reason that I ask is I am currently have a cable provider that I am dropping once my direct tv and dsl is installed. My second question is that when I ordered the service on the internet they charged me $19.95 for shipping for the dish and the equipment which they stated is normal. My credit card hasn't been charged for this yet or do they actually charge it on the day the installer arrives. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

Yes you can hook your receiver up to Internet at anytime.It is needed for video on demand and a few other features.

You could run a line straight from your router to your receiver or use a homeplug
Adapter.

I am not sure on the model number but its the hd dvr plus that is only being installed in one room. How this helps.
