questing about ordering ppv's with the remote

i just got hd for directv and b4 it didnt let me order ppv;s with my remote, i guess cuz my stuff wasnt updated. but my question is it would give me the option to buy a show or event for that day, but anything on the next day it wouldnt give me the option. so can u only buy something the day of the event or what? dose it have to be within 24hrs... 2hrs or what lol..thanks
