Qick install question

Getting my 2 HWS installed on Monday. I have cat 5 going to each location. Do I need an internet connector (can't remember exactly what it is call)? I remember when the original Hopper came out one needed that for everything to work properly.

No, you do not need a HIC.

Some have reported better performance with the HIC but maybe it's better to have one less thing to deal with. You shouldn't need it.

What kind of performance? Where would it go anyway?

Both my hoppers are hard wired and that is a better option than a HIC. Direct connection vs a connection through the HIC, then through the node then to the Hoppers. Direct connect is the best option

Months ago, HIC was the best option. Now, bridging and direct connection are just as good.
