I realize this may not affect a lot of people here but just in case it does I figured I should mention it as it was brought up again recently on Kotaku/Reddit.
So GameStop has started selling "retro" games, which basically means anything before the PS2 generation, which primarily consists of cartridge based games/systems. They CLAIM that they clean and test all games they receive before putting them up for resale, but there's simply too much evidence that this isn't the case at all.

I guess the upside is that you have GameStop's guarantee, meaning that if what you get is messed up you can easily get money back as opposed to a random guy on eBay/Craig's List, but buying retro equipment shouldn't be a crapshoot like this.
