Ps3 audio ?

Hello all,
I just got around to connecting my PS3's optical out to my surround sound receiver. My HDTV is connected with HDMI. I am noticing that the PS3 will not output audio to HDMI and the Optical out at the same time. So if I don't want to listen using my surround sound receiver, but only the TV, then I have to go into sound options and change sound back to HDMI.
Am I missing something or is this how it is? I know my DISH211 outputs sound through HDMI and optical at the same time.

thats how it is, hopefully for now (I dont know for sure though) I know they have a big update planned for this month, could be this week, lets see if they dont straighten out then-I do feel your pain though as it is annoying!
