I cannot ceiling mount my projector so my preferred option is to put it on a wall shelf rather than a table. My question is does it matter where to place it?? My sitting will be just in front of the wall where the projector will sit.

My idea is to place right in the middle of the screen. Bad idea or good? Does it matter?

I have a Epson 8100 that has lens shift.

In my small HT room I have mine on a shelf centered behind where I sit (against the wall) about 4.5' height and it works fine with about a 73" picture (am going to take a wall out and expand soon) in my Bedroom I have my old one on my headboard centered on a 129" Screen and they work just fine, both are Mitsubitsi 720p pj's...

I used a TV wall mount when I put up my projector. I thought about a shelf but I wanted to keep it a little out from the wall for ventilation. It worked out pretty good and it gives me a strap that helps secure the projector a little more than just a shelf.
