Recall a TV landscape where their weren't dancing shows and singing shows and shows featuring acrobats, animal tricks, magicians or ventriloquists. Nobody would believe today that we'd sit for watching a pop star singing for an hour (I'm thinking of Andy Williams).
Decades has been running Ed Sullivan for weeks. I forgot how horrible that show was until I tried to sit down and watch it lately.
