Programming remote

Ok, I screwed up my directv remote so now I cannot control the swim box. I took another remote from the bedroom and that one works fine. Question is what is the direct tv code for my swim box and how do I program it correctly?

He probably means a receiver connected to a SWM system.

I would be nice if he told us what model receiver he has.

You could reset the remote hold select/mute in directv mode type in 981. If that doesn't work hit select/mute in directv mode and type in 00001. See if these work.

After a 981 reset the directv device is programmed with code 00001 already. If still doesn't respond, than the receiver might be in rf mode:

1. dtv
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT, wait for two blinks, release
3. enter 9 6 1
4. press CH UP
5. enter last 6 digits of Receiver ID #(RID), found on a sticker in the access card compartment
6. press SELECT
