Program Titles, who makes them?

One of the big problems I have with my DTiVo is that particularly on Speed channel they like to title almost everything as "Auto Racing" ... this makes it impossible for me to set any season pass on the racing I want to watch. So my question is .... who do I complain to? Are these titles set by Speed, TiVo, or DTV?

As a motor sports fan, I feel your pain...

TiVo and DIRECTV are not in the loop on guide data. Speed (and every other channel) provide program descriptions to Tribune Media Services (who provides the data for TiVo - see the tiny type at the bottom of the guide - some other program guides get their data from TV Guide).

TMS just passes it through, so you should tell Speed that their naming is getting in the way your finding programs. They should be be interested, since how viewers find programs in the 300 channel/DVR world is a big concern for networks.
