What does "professional installation"mean?
All the systems I have I have installed mysely so i have no idea what that means.
We have a neighbor lady who is about to give up cable and go to sat.system. she sees all these offers for Dish and Direct and they mention prof.inst..She asked me what that meant and I could not tell her.
I have seen postings here of install horror tales and hope she could avoid that.

Professional installation means just that, someone who's full time job/career to install satellite systems comes out and performs the install. What it includes can vary but typically the tech will mount the dish to the house or on a post, run wires to provide the services required (custom work would vary depending on the tech), provide all the switches and equipment, and hook up and authorize receivers and such.
