I own a 7' C/Ku-band dish and a General Instruments 550i analog receiver.
I just bought a Coolsat 4000 Pro receiver and a bud slave kit. I've got a couple of questions. For some reason or another, I cannot receive a signal
on any C-band satellite on the Coolsat. I scanned G10 Ku and everything
loaded wonderfully. Is my problem in the connection? Also, there doesn't
seem to be a listing for G10/C. What do I do about that? One more thing:
Am I supposed to use the loop-out port on the back? Anyone? Please?
Thanks in advance!

Hello and WELCOME to the SatelliteGuys.US FTA forum.

Yes you should use your loop through on your Coolsat to "LNB In" on the Analog receiver to get both analog and digital signals.

Not sure how to do it on a Coolsat but you can rename/add a satellite. Make sure you have the L.O. set to 05150 for C-Band in the antenna set up screen.

To add a satellite in the Coolsat, first go into "Dish Setting" from the main menu. Use the left and right arrow keys to move until a blank spot appears. Set your LNB type and power. Now hit the red button on your remote and rename it.

Thanks for the welcome to the forum, and the help thus far. I still don't
know why I can't get a C-band signal. I used the diagram from the Sadoun
site for using a bud slave kit but I cannot get a C-band signal. Please help!
Thanks!
