Yesterday I had to unplug and move my 922 receiver for some remodeling of my entertainment area to accommodate for a new TV, everything went fine the 922 started up and I got satellite signal but I noticed when the info screen at top showed up it showed no broadband connection and will not pick up an IP from DHCP. I tried resetting DHCP, resetting the receiver (both soft and hard) and it still won't connect. I tested the Ethernet cable with a cable tester and swapped the cable with my Blu-ray and it connects. The link light is also lit on both the 992 and switch. I know at least as of about a week ago (the last time I went into OnDemand) it was connected, but can't say for certain that it was connected immediately prior to unplugging and moving it. Is there a way to manually set a static IP through ARP or anything on the 922 so I can force an IP into it? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have my router give the same ip address every time, it seemed to help the sling issues with the 922. I never had the problem you are describing where it cannot find the connection and the link light is on.
