Problem with the H20 & 5 LNB AT9 Dish

I am getting an error message on some channels with no picture & no sound

with the following error message " searching for satellite signal...... (771)

Does anyone know what could that be wrong ?

I have an Directv H20 & the new 5 LNB At9 dish

Obvious question do you have a signal from the satellite? What switch are you using? Is it only one receiver or do you have more connected? And lastly what channels are giving problems?

oh boy yes i am kinda slow today, i should of known to try it on my other receiver to check the problem

Yes i am getting all the sat signals, and i tried it on my other RCA SD receiver and it didn't have the problem.

But see what i tried to do next is i unpluged the little B - Band convertor adapter from the back of the H20
and i just pluged in the sat cable straight through the H20
and the problem went away, and yes all the channels were working fine, even the Local HD channels from directv.

So i dont know why the B - band convertor adapter is needed anyway
