Hi there, this is my first post, so if this is the wrong category, I apologize. Move this wherever it needs to be, I will learn where everything is after a few visits .
Here is my problem:
I recently bought a TV from a friend who was moving, however the TV screen is not showing the entire viewing area. It is as though the TV is stuck in a zoom mode.
News tickers along the bottom and sports scores at the top are half visible, the same with the left and right sides. It was made in 1997, and it is model Z25A115, with serial number 721-15481482. I have seen no "reset" in the menu, and there is no reset hole located in the back.
I have been told that I should try to find a "repairman's code" and with this I'll be able to reset the screen. I don't want to lug a huge TV down to a repair center, pay $50, and then somebody fixes it within ten seconds.
Can this be done with my remote, or is there something I'll need to go buy?
