I just recently got a 411 and Installed it a couple of nights ago. When i called to activate it the CSR said that they couldnt becuase i already have a work order out. But when i turn on the receiver and it goes through the process of connecting to the satellites it always gets frozen on 4, then goes back down and starts over again. Even though my receiver isnt activated shouldnt it be able to connect with the satellites? Help me please.

I've ran into that as well. And that's even WITH it being activated. Not sure why entirely. I suppose a software glitch??? All I can say is be patient and a few front-panel resets OR removing the power

Guys my 211 has been activated for over a month and for the last 3 days I have noticed when I turn it on the screen is blank. So I change the Tv input from Digital-In to Video 1 and the screen will show Boot recovery, vital information is being downloaded. It is so frustrating as it never finishes the first time and need to be reseted about 5 or six times before it finishes. I don,t know why it does this. After it completes all the dots and restarts it goes back to receovery console and if it highlights the first dot and then disapears and highlights it again that means it is not going to complete. It gets stuck at this point and you have to keep doing it over and over again until it finally kicks in. I have called support about 6 times and I always get people who don't know what to do. This is really p*ssing me off. One thing all you guys should note if you are using the HDMI connection you will not see the Boot recovery screen you will have to have your receiver connected to S Video or component video out also to see it. This is ridiculous as it means HDMI will only work it is officially out boot recovery and that is the hardest thing for it to complete.
