primestar setup

Need a little help on switchs here, I have 2 primestar 1meter oval dishes. Both have the v/h 2 connector style lnbs, I have a multi switch on one. but I would like to connect the 2 together to one wire, should I buy a bigger multi switch. And what if I would like to add on later down the road , like say a extra lnb, or a different dish.

That route would work best with a 3x4 multiswitch at each primestar dish, one port to vertical and the other to horizontal as labeled on the switch. Take the coax from the output on the switch and run it into the input of a 4x1 diseqc switch. From there, run the output of the 4x1 into the coax input of the receiver

any special settings go in the box other than 4x1?

just get a 4x4 multiswitch. That would allow you to hook both LNB's together and run 4 receivers of of it

Sometimes a 4X8 or 5X8 is very cheap or free.
The 6X8 found surplus on old DirectTV installs (which is really a 4x8) works, often free.
