Primestar question

Hello all--been away but now I'm back. Sorry to hear about Pete. Hope all is well. I just bought a Primestar receiver Model 300D. On the bottom it says for VideoCiper and DigiCipher TV signals (i.e analog?). Can anyone tell me more about it? where can I get a manual? remote? what signals can I get FTA?

From what I hear, the receivers are not useable anymore. I have never had one, but that is what I heard. I always was curious about Primestar back in their day. I love their dishes!

Primestar receivers are Digicipher I (digital)
There isnt anything out there that is DCI anymore. You can't get analog with it and the regular DVB stuff it won't get.
