Preferred Choice without an int'l channel?

Has anyone tried to subscribe to D*'s Preferred Choice package without also subscribing to one of the international channels? With Bravo being in the HD pack, I would only really need PC + HD, rather than TC + HD. Also, locals seem to be included in the Preferred Choice package, so maybe one could get rid of those for cheaper... hmm...
