I'm eagerly awaiting my 811 and a 42 inch Panasonic plasma. I'm curious if anyone has had experience with SD content via a DVI connection...What will be the best way to view SD--DVI, component, S-video, composite?

Don't put your hope to high! I have VOOM through DVI and compressed SD (garbage) will produce garbage no matter what you use DVI or component.
The best I have seen is OTA SD and just saw SD in NFL -HD in VOOM and the SD was outstanding. See the thread in the VOOM forum. I have a 60" display so the SD compressed in more noticeable in my display.
