It may be used as a manual positioner, if you are using an LNBF or orthomode feedhorn. Don't recall how many positions it will memorize, but 30 comes to mind. It does not have the ability to control a polarity servo motor, so the feedhorn on a 10' dish may need to be changed.
It is not DiSEqC 1.2 compatible so it will not automatically position the dish when a channel is selected on the receiver. If you have a list of programmed satellite names and corresponding assignment numbers beside the controller, you would select the satellite that you wish to watch, select the saved satellite position number on the controller, then select the channel on the satellite receiver.
Very basic and old school without the current technology used in even the cheapest Vbox / Gbox controlllers for the past 10+ years, but it is similar to the antiquated Pansat manual AP600 controller that Rainier Satellite is passing off as state of art technology...
