On some movies when you press the new hd guide "more info." just beside the stars for the movie rating (and not sure who does the rating) there is a tomato (sometimes there) with a % number and a box of popcorn that is standing and or laying down with a certain % number. Please explain to this guy that is over 40.
Edit. Sometimes there is a flower instead of a tomato.
I think it comes from this site. The popcorn looks like user reviews, percent over a 3.5 out of 5 (over 100,000 votes on popcorn)
The tomato looks like a much smaller sample size of select critics (only 200 on the example movie).
I guess the popcorn would be a viable metric, even better if the info screen had a line like:
Popcorn rating indicates percent of viewers that rated 3.5 out of 5 or higher.
