Unfortunately there are no plans for North America as of yet.

NO PLANS FOR THE USA!!
Lets start a petition!

I am looking forward to this, the guide looks awesome.
I don't think it will work with DirecTV/Dish Network or any cable providers right?
Is it strictly for FTA? It was an European demonstration since most countries in europe usually use FTA/OTA.

That's $197.31 based on todays exchange rate. Offhand, I expect this will sell for about $149.99 here in the U.S. - we shall see. I am very excited about this product...a decent guide with good recording features that is reliably delivered and with no monthly DVR fees. Between PlayTV and the soon to be released TR-50, OTA folks will have a lot more options instead of just TiVo. Perhaps PlayTV and TR-50 DVRs will lead to another boom for free OTA TV. While it won't replace cable or satellite, most people watching network programming (American Idol, CSI, Survivor, 24, Criminal Minds, etc.) and may elect to retire one or more of their cable/satellite DVRs.
